Chartreuse wine is a French liqueur made by Carthusian Monks since 1737. It’s a “green” colored, herbal flavored spirit that can be used in a variety of cocktails.
It has an alcohol content of 54.5% by volume. It’s made from 130 herbs, spices, flowers and fruit macerated in alcohol for at least 15 days with no heat added. The green colour comes from green chartreuse which is made using green grapes exclusively.
