This rum has been aged 16 years in Bourbon Casks in Guyana before finishing with an additional 3 years in Ferrand casks.
On the nose, it is extremely fruity with raisins and sultanas, cherry, mango and yellow peach. Gently herbal and spicy, it then becomes more pastry like with maple syrup and honey.
On the palate, very intense and complex, it starts with woody, spicy and nutty notes. Licorice, chocolate, coffee and nutmeg followed with notes of papaya and citrus.
The finish is very long on orange peel, oak and nutmeg.
A limited edition rum created at Guyana's now-closed Uitvlugt distillery in March 1999.
