Planteray Fiji 2009 is the new edition from the "Under the Sea" collection, bottled at 49.5%. A small batch of 25 casks has been selected and aged for 10 years in Fiji in bourbon casks; before going for a double ageing to produce an exceptional rum with a fruitiness and aromatic power reminiscent of some heavy Jamaican rums.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Very fruity with pastry notes, then becomes more floral and herbal with time, evolving to banana, French toast, and almond.

Palate: Fresh & balanced on the palate with bitter orange and tropical fruit elements which evolves to spicy notes.

Finish: Long and very spicy, followed by fresh minty tones.
