Plantation Extreme No.5 Barbados 2000 Rum

This rum was distilled in 2000 and aged tropically for five years in ex-Bourbon casks. It was then continentally aged for 14 years in more ex-Bourbon casks before being finished in Ferrand casks for a final two years.

Raw material : Molasses

Nose : Fresh and complex on Oolong tea, red berries, vanilla and cooked pear with hints of lemongrass, apricot and honey

Palate : Extremely fruity and round on strawberries, hazelnut, greengage and sorb with guava and grapefruit notes.

Finish : Long and pleasant on raspberries, cloves, banana and guava evolving on citrus, berries and undergrowth notes.
