Staying with the holiday theme, and beautiful new bottles, this week we're drinking Ferrand Sélection des Anges Cognac. This small volume release is made from a blend of Grande Champagne Cognacs from the Ferrand cellars and named for the angel's share, the small loss of volume that accumulates each year over the decades of ageing required for a Cognac of this quality. A delightful blend by renowned Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel, who was recently appointed as Vice President of BNIC, the Cognac governing body. Deep notes of vanilla, raisin, honey and apricots and floral scents of jasmine and roses bring to mind carefree baking days and the warmth of a festive kitchen. Perfect for a quiet moment with friends or family - in person or over Zoom - at the end of this memorable year. And congratulations Alexandre on your well-deserved appointment!
