Nose: Past an initial flurry of dusty aok and leather there's ripe peaches, red apples and a refined malt note. Thick-cut marmalade smeared on fluffy white bloomer bread, barley sugar and salted caramel develop among supple wood tannins and just a flash of red chilli heat.
Palate: Vanilla and dark honey drench more juicy apples and slightly astringent oak. Drying spice, ginger and clove mostly, rich earth and blackberry compote notes develop.
Finish: Long and gentle. Subtle oak spice prickles thorugh delivate golend barely sweetness.
