Cynar is a beloved Italian bitters named after its signature ingredient – cynara scolymus – or artichoke. Created in 1949, Cynar is a maceration of neutral spirit, artichoke and 12 other botanicals. Cynar is sweet, vegetal and redolent of pickles, tomato, raspberry and mint. An alternative for Campari in a Negroni, it is also delightful on the rocks with an orange slice. Top with tonic or soda for a refreshing digestive.
