This is a drink that is very popular in New Orleans. The recipe was invented by a bartender named Peychaud at a bar called the Sazerac Coffee House. It is served over ice with whiskey and an absinthe rinse. Also, it is served with a lemon peel which you can twist above your glass to release the oils on top of the drink.

The Sazerac is a cocktail that was invented in the late 19th century. It is very popular in New Orleans and has been since then. It is made with Rye Whiskey, Peychaud’s Bitters, Herbsaint (a liqueur), and sugar. It is served in a glass that has been treated with a sugar cube to create a thick layer of sugar at the bottom.
